ANXIETY
Anxiety can be defined in various ways as "An uncomfortable feeling of nervousness about something that is happening, that has happened or might happen in the future". "A feeling of worry or unease about something with an uncertain outcome". It can also be "Full of mental distress or uneasiness because of fear of danger or misfortune". In a simple language anxiety is when one worries unnecessarily.
When we worry, we lose sleep, we get irritated easily, inability to eat, health issues like high blood pressure, hormonal disorder sets in, a shadow of one's self is inevitable, sadness steps in, peace flies out of the window, amongst others, so why worry? Why do we worry over things we can not physically change? Can our worry make those things change? Will favourable result comes from it?
I have learnt that worrying kills my joy, it drains every iota of energy from me. I will start putting one plus another one together, more worries emerge, won't be able to concentrate on anything, until I let the worry go. How do I do this? I will look for better things to ponder about, keep my mind on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper, what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise. Nothing comes easy but for one to prosper and be in good health, worry should be far away.
People have different issues, ranging from business, marital, relationships, financial, health, children and so on, we should not be mentally distress about these, they are light afflictions which will disappear to bring us to the next level of greatness. When you let people know what you are facing by writing it on your forehead, you will find out that those people have what they are also battling with and may be unable to help you. Put your trust in God alone and rest upon His promises for everything is possible with God.
Don't give the worry a space in your mind, it starts by sowing a seed of doubts, inadequacies, rejection, hurt, pains, lies, things that will make you feel you don't amount to anything, if you allow this seed to grow, it takes over you. Don't give it space! Wake up early in the morning and program your day, tell your maker how you want your day to be and commit everything to His hand. Say NO to the enemy of your mind, don't allow that suicidal, rejection, depression thoughts.
I will recommend that you don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to God, He will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel. Also think of what you love doing, sing, dance, travel, go window shopping if the money is not available, call a friend you feel comfortable with, just be determined that you will not think about the stress you are facing, pamper yourself and don't allow anything or anyone to cease your joy, be confident in the God you serve and all things will work well for you.
